1-Micron ASE Broadband Light Source (Model NSL-10)
New Span's NSL-10 amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) broadband light source is primarily used for passive fiber-optic component testing, especially for dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) components; but it can find other applications such as spectroscopy, fiber sensing, and optical coherence tomography (OCT), especially in high-resolution ophthalmic and soft tissue imaging. This desk/bench top instrument offers low-cost high-performance turn-key operation with additional safety features such as laser enabled switch incorporated in the instrument unit.
